Volley 12-3, Dave

My reply. It's been a while. Thought I would try to combine Mike and Arzhang's themes; though graphically, and not with girls. I can't get myself in too much trouble. Mike, how about another call for a good nurse?

Volley 12-2, Mike.

Jessie said nurse in the comments of the last post, and that was all the inspiration I needed. Only thing better than a nurse... is a doctor like this. Whooha! Been awhile since I've done one of these, so I might need to warm up a bit. ;) This should help with that.

Volley 12-1, Arzhang.

Well there have been no posts here for quite some time. Unfortunately I seem to be a in a creative funk. I've lost my way it seems. The symbolism is all over in this piece and sadly it goes nowhere. Hopefully it will evolve into something. Let's keep this going. I need a muse.

Volley 11-5, Mike Quon.

Ok here is my 1st crack at a volley. Taking David's volley and incorporating my reality of what faith and energy means to me I came up with this.

When I think faith and energy I think of people and their belief in them self to do the most incredible things in life without any logical explanation. My style of design lately has been very dark and grudge not sure why I have been in this grudge funk lately. I basically worked around David's volley to add my take on this. Your probably wondering what the fly resembles. I like adding insects to my designs for some odd reason. I think it adds a bit of reality for me. Cheers. =]

Volley 11-4, David Brady.

I took the "faith for energy" theme and ran with it. I walked past this cathedral the other day near Union Square, and the tall blue building is in Queens (just outside Manhattan). I used Jessie's energy explosion to look like a burst of smog and grime, symbolizing negative energy. From the top right comes the clean, pure energy of the sun.

Volley 11-3, Jessie.

This volley was my response to everything politically charged. I played off of Arzhang's "Belief (Faith) for Energy" using multiple filters to create a literal energy of explosion. I challenge Brady (new contributor, welcome) and everyone after him to take this faith theme in a different direction than politics. Faith is a strong subject and a lot of room for movement (in a less shallow direction). Good luck Brady.

Volley 11-2, Arzhang.

Here's my politically charged response. In case it isn't obvious the guns are shooting oil.
